Dj Craig C
With engaging lyrical flows and a confident stage presence, Craig C brings a unique flavour to Reggae Gospel. A 2007 Joe Higgs Music Award (JHMA) nominee for best new Artist, Craig C burst on the stage in 2004 at a show titled First Sundays Unchained where he opened for Jamaican Gospel icon Carlene Davis. His impressive performance led critic Michael A. Edwards of the Jamaica Observer to state, in his article ‘Delayed Gratification: Sunday unchained,’ that he was a force to be reckoned with in the Christian DJ arena (July, 7, 2004). This paved the way for other performances at the Genesis Gospel Festival in 2005, 2006 and 2007 as well as Fun in the Son (Crossover Jesus Party), Recharge in NY and numerous performances across Arizona and California.
Born January 6, 1986 in St. Catherine, Jamaica and raised in the Portmore community, Craig C developed an appreciation for Music of all genres at an early age. This is evident in his style of Music, which incorporates dancehall, hip-hop and R&B. After recording several tracks for producer Dale “Dr Dizzle” Virgo, Craig C was officially signed to Holy Ground records in 2005. However, he started his own Production Company two years later ‘Spiritual In Mind Lyrically Inclined Music’ where he produces his own Music as well as a wide range of upcoming artistes. His first single released ‘You featuring Murphy’ on Holy Ground Records has enjoyed good rotation on stations that matter in Jamaican Gospel Music. Craig C has also received international attention on Hype Fm in Miami, Alive Fm in Arizona (Lake Havasu City, Parker, Bullhead City/ Laughhlin, Kingman), The Spirit Station in New York, Tehilla online Radio in Trinidad, Isaac 98.1FM in Trinidad, Dj Rose Cruz in Belize, Ei radio networks in Canada and other radio stations across the World. Craig C is on a mission to use his musical talent for the upliftment of Christians as well as the unsaved. His Debut Album “In Your Presence”, has been released and captures Craig C at his best.
