On Monday, June the 23rd, 2008, On the Shout Records was proud to present, the release of Dj Nicholas’
sophomore titled album, ‘Louder than Ever’ to the media. The event unfolded quite nicely at the Medallion Hall Hotel and was underway by7:30pm, but this was just a taste of what we can expect from his Album. According to Dj Nicholas, this album is an attempt to touch on real issues in a way that is ‘Louder than Ever’; real issues that Christians are not speaking out enough against, like ‘brazen day time murders’, ‘the rape of women’,'the increase in blue movies and the number of go-go clubs being opened’. Louder than Ever features all-star collaborations with Judith Gayle, Jermaine Edwards, JCee and Omari.
Welcome,Tributes, Endorsements
LOVE 101’s Olecia Wedderburn-Christie and Kevin Smith, director of On the Shout Records, extended greetings to representatives of the Media, the Gospel Reggae artiste fraternity and close family members who turned up in support of the artiste. Wyatt KC Davis, former LOVE 101 Disc Jockey, now CEO of newly formed media company Gospel Spotlight, opened in prayer.
The tributes were excellent and included a review of Dj Nicholas’ first album, endorsements from title sponsors LOVE 101 and Reggae Jammin and warm sentiments from many, including LOVE 101’s Nadine Blair,(on behalf of the Media Association), Jamaica Youth for Christ director- Rev Herro Blair Jr, Music producer Danny Brownie and several others from the Gospel Reggae artiste fraternity. Musical selections were given by Gospel Reggae artistes Omari, JLee - performing hit single ‘Mustard Seed’, Jermaine Edwards performing ‘Make you Smile’ from his upcoming album and the animated and surprisingly bilingual Judith Gayle who gave a very energetic rendition of her song, ‘Broken to be Blessed’, which consists of both English and Spanish verses.

Where Volume Has Never Been?
Dj Nicholas gave some ”Shout Outs” of his own. He thanked all the sponsors and media houses that were present, commending them on their role in helping to bring the Gospel to the nations. In recognition of this, presentations were made to some media houses present.
He joked that when asked by fellow troublemaker, Prodigal Son, of the name to expect for the next album seeing that this one is ‘Louder than Ever’, that he responded, ‘Where volume has never been!’
As a sneak peak to this Friday’s launch he unleashed the hard hitting tune,’ ‘Round Here’ which hits out against some of those real issues being neglected. This promises to be a spectacular launch and Admission is Free!
Sponsors of the event included LOVE television, RE tv, AV Concepts Ltd, Grace Tropical Rhythms, Partners Financial, Grizzly’s Entertainment Ltd and others.
