Introducing the Fiwivoice Op-ed Column

The Fiwivoice Op-ed column has officially started. Yay!!I’m sure that you would all agree that all the contributions so far have been really eye-opening, comforting, challenging and awe-inspiring. I know some of you may be asking, ‘So what’s the difference between the Op-ed column and just using Voice It? Well, while both are really great opportunities to share your thoughts and expressions, Op-ed provides an opportunity for your particular concern to be placed in the ’spotlight’ where it cannot be missed. It also provides the opportunity for your work to be edited and proof-read before being posted and so your Views will always be brought across in the most professional, ethical and effective way possible.
Special thanks to our latest contributor Patrice Williams all the previous contributors, namely, Alexis Brown, Andrew Williams, Andrew Wildes and Anna-Lisa Walcott. (Anybody else notice the trend with the A’s?). Also special thanks to Marlon Pownall for the fantastic images that go alongside the Articles each week.
Anyways, I am 100% certain that there are other fiwivoicers out there who have something to say, something that you feel passionately about and that God would have you share with others for their edification and for your own spiritual growth. Here are a few interesting topics for those who feel led to share but need some ideas:
(1) Sexual brokenness (not just heterosexual issues)
(2) General relationship issues.
(3) Creative ways in which young people can or are witnessing/ministering to others in Jamaica and internationally.
(4) The Gospel Music industry in Jamaica today: the impact it is having on the Youths and others.
(5) Current social and political policies/issues, like abortion, unemployment, poverty, crime, no-gays in parliament etc.
So what are you waiting for? It is time to let your Voice be heard in matters, concerning Youths, Christianity, Technology, Education, Politics, Current Affairs and other SocialIssues.
