I first got saved when I was attending the St John’s Baptist Church located in Retreat in the Brown’s Town Baptist Circuit. I got saved August 2004 and started going to New Believers Class with Rev Allen and Deacon . December came and it was time for Grand Market where all my friend would be. There would be drinking and partying. When I thought of all that I backslid. It was the worst Grand Market because I got drunk and the hangover was terrible.

In January I started to not believe in God and His very existence. I would look in the sky and I say there is no God or when I looked at all the things around me it was unbelievable that He existed. ( I had a friend who was an atheist but I didn’t think it had any effect on me.) I continued going to church and searched for help from other Christians but it was futile because they all told me I would counteract. I was at that time a fifth form student form student. In third form I had already done Geography, Biology with other science subject at the (CXC) Caribbean Examination Council level and these subjects had foundations of the universe. I started going to other churches then I eventually stopped for a couple of weeks. I decided to Write Rev. Allen a letter stating my problem of unbelief, however I tore it up. I then eventually wrote another and actually had the courage to give it to Mrs. Allen who was the principal at my school.

I continually went to her office to hear if her husband said anything but there was nothing. She eventually asked what was the problem , I told her and she said I should tell God. I did not believe in him.(Weird.) I actually did. I finally met with Rev. Allen and among many things he told me that the great evangelist Billy Graham had the same problem at one point in his Christian life. He also lent me a book about miracles and I started attending the Brown’s Town Baptist Church where I really got saved August 21th, 2005. I was baptized September 18 th 2005 and received October 2, 2005.
