SUMMARY OF MERLGROVE HIGH SCHOOL

The programme began with a short praise and worship session led by Daynea and Ruth-Ann. The girls although unenthused participated by singing and clapping. The Speaker for that afternoon Racquel let the girls know that they were loved by God, telling them they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Raquel shared portions of her Testimony and how God changed her life and boosted her self-esteem.  It was evident to the team that the word pierced the hearts of many of the girls but it was masked by their opposition to things mentioned made. The opposition was picked up by the keen intercessors who began to pray.

All barriers were broken when Kathryn danced to Kirk Franklin’s Imagine me. The auditorium fell silent as the Music started and the girls looked on intently as the story of the girl being portrayed unfolded. The girl in the dance went from insecure and not even wanting to lift her head and look into the mirror to radiant and joyful because of her new found identity in God. The girls got the message and realized their need for Jesus.  When the altar call was made a sea of determined girls came to the front declaring that they need this Jesus that was portrayed to them. The longing of their hearts for more was evident and many lingered after to receive ministry.
