CHOOSE THIS DAY WHO YOU WILL SERVE
THE ST.ANDREW HIGH SCHOOL LEG OF THE PURITY TOUR
This leg of the purity tour was highly anticipated by the members of the Xtreme team primarily because most of the members were past students. However, in spite of the anticipation the team had no inclination as to what was going to happen during the time of ministry.
The programme began promptly at 7:30 am in the school’s picturesque outdoor Garden Theatre with the warm golden sun as a calming backdrop. The atmosphere was laden with expectancy and peace as the normally effervescent students stood in absolute silence as they waited for the time of ministry to begin. The time began with a brief session of praise and worship and was followed by a heart stirring word and Testimony by Ruth-Ann Simpson and Joanna Fletcher, two past students. Ruth-Ann encouraged the girls to change their lifestyle and to choose between life and death because they had heard the call for salvation many times before-“choose this day who you will serve. Will you choose life or death?” She then invited Joanna to share her Testimony abut how God had delivered her from a low self esteem and how she had now come to believe that she was fearfully and wonderfully made. Joanna’s Testimony was simple, honest and poignant. She challenged the girls but also outlaid the consequences of disobeying God’s laws. The word and Testimony was followed by a graceful interpretative dance by Katherine Fletcher which expressed similar sentiments. Chevelle Franklyn also performed her song “Joy” which had the girls singling and smiling with delight.
The girls were appreciative of the book marks and promotion cards distributed by fiwivoice.com which they found hilarious, encouraging and saw the girls clamoring for more for friends and other family members. Many girls responded the prompting of the Holy Spirit and gave their lives to the Lord. There was a sweet anointing at St. Andrew High School and the time of prayer and ministry afterwards saw many yokes being broken.
