I remember embarking on an exciting journey to Westmoreland from St. Ann, when my mother and older sister were discussing relationships. My ears quickly ignited and the questions came flowing like the River Jordan when they uttered ‘sex’. “Mommy what is sex?” and her scholastic response was, “Darling sex is not for children!” That response in no way answered my question but it did set a foundation on which I built further views about sex.
