Ryan Mark ‘the chosen Prodigy’
Ryan Mark Reynolds, The Chosen Prodigy, is undoubtedly one of the most popular Djs, in Gospel Reggae today. His self titled album was recently launched and he has consistently been in the eye of the Media. Who though is Ryan Mark Reynolds, and as a 20 year old ‘Minister’, how does he see himself and Gospel Reggae, impacting, and changing our society?
FV: What’s your first ever recorded song?
P: Ahm…“Lie”
FV: What’s your biggest hit so far?
P: Ah my biggest hit…
FV: In your estimation
P: I think “Depart I Know You Not”, or “Not Sure”, which I did with my brother Minister Goddy Goddy.
FV: How much of an influence did money play in your going into this profession?
P: No man…
(FV: I know you get that all the time)
P: No influence money had on me because, the Gospel Music is not a money making thing. You really live by faith and you live by the favor of God, unuh God can give you big favor at times…but the money making thing its not really in the Gospel, if I wanted money I’d do the secular Music,- its just God’s favor.
FV: So money wouldn’t influence you t stay in it then?
P: No man, if it was for money I’d a leave it long time.
(FV: Just bringing souls to Christ-)
P: Yeah
FV: Would you collaborate with an unsaved or worldly artiste to promote the Gospel?
P: Ahhm…To be honest with you, I don’t think I would really have a problem doing a Gospel song with an unsaved but it wouldn’t be to promote , cause you see so much as somebody is not saved, people do acknowledge God, and if I can help somebody to acknowledge the creator I will do that, but that question alone is really a big thing, because people do make a big thing out of it, because when Richie Stephens had collaborate with Stitchie people made a big thing over it, Prodigal Son (Bless) he collaborated with Richie Stephens as well, and then you have Kirk Franklin that did a collaboration with R.Kelly, but the Gospel has to be preached.
But if I sit down an think she ‘If I can do a tune with Bounty Killer where I can buss and get big, I don’t want to do it. But if I know seh I can do a tune with Bounty Killer and mi kno seh ‘hey, when dah tune ya buss the road it ago save one million soul’ I’ll go ahead and do, so it’s the motive behind it.

Prodigy you are the vessel that God is using for the furtherance of his ministry, continue to let him use you to minister to the unsaved and the saved as well who are slipping out of the grip of Chrisianity. I am impressed with some of your ideals which are undoubtedly influenced by you Chrisitian conviction. I’m Really proud man…keep making yourself a vessel of honour… God Bless!

Hey Prodigy its Georgia here.Well when I first met you I have to say I thought you were one of those guys who well…didnt really have a relationship with God.The more I listened to you-glory to God-the more I realized it wasnt so.I heard an interview with you I think last month about you ministering in a secular arena and let me tell you……I really was moved by your interview.It was evident that you do what you do not by you but by you best friend the Holy Spirit and for that FULL RATINGZ!!Keep your head up high, you know the Devil hates you, but hey God loves you always so keep the faith bask in the blessings of the Lord and remember God is always in your corner-with you!!

Prodigy, I have read what you have said in the interview with FV and i can tell that there is a passion there for Christ and the things He represents. I know it is the hand of God on you to be able to Minister the way you do at a young age, especially when you hear the statistics that young men in our age group is responsible for alot of the murders taking place in our beautiful island. I remembered that when I became a christian some 11 years ago (I am now 24) I asked God to use me, and he has certaily done so although I think that after so many years I should be much more rooted and grounded in Christ and be more active in the ministry, yes I sing at church in groups and on the choir and lead out Praise and worship but there is so much more that can be done by His people and I thank God that you are doing so in His name.
You have accomplished so much in so little time, even if it seems to be small or insignificant. God is certainly using you my brother, I pray for your continous success, His blessings on your life and your family as well. Just remember “No weapon formed againt me (you) shall prosper.” God Bless!

Prodigy just gwaan big up u self and continue to stay humble and allow God to use u to bless his people through the ministry that he has given you. God has given u a ministry and as long as u are humble he will elivate you. forget about the critics and do God’s work because only what u do for Christ will last. Hey Prodigy…… just keep on doing the good work of GOD. It has been so good to listen to your Music also an inspiration…………… a very good one. Just letting you know that your work is being appreciated from the young and the old… There was a time when my life was on it’s way to hell then i heard the song “Depart I know you not.” I realize then i did not want to hear that on the day of judgement So you just keep on doing the good thing God has assign you to do. Hey Prodigy, Im a big fan of ur Music an jus a seh don’t stop doin ur thing cuz u’ve blessed me so many times an i don’t want u 2 stop doin that. Nuff Blessins 4 u styl cuz i can see dat u hav changed ova di years, hav grown into a reeal Man of God, have grown in ur Music ability, and u hav grown in Christ.

Hey Prodigy. I’m a teenage Chrristian strugling with what’s right and whats wrong because there are so many different Views that people have. However, i just wanted to say to you, that your Music has is very positive and you are doing a very good thing.Continue to do what you;re doing and i know the Lord will keep you and guide you along the way!..:)
